Meet Our Staff 2019

UNIT LEADERS

 

Junior Camp

Kathie “K.I.” Immerman, Unit Leader for Juniors (7, 8, 9  & 10 year olds)
This will be K.I.’s 32nd Robindel summer! She has a Bachelors Degree in Physical Education and a Master’s Degree in Education. K.I. has over 40 years of camping experience, and 35 years teaching experience. She is a Physical Education Teacher for grades K-5 in Chatham, New Jersey. K.I. is the calming face and voice to our junior campers and their parent’s each summer. In her free time K.I. loves to read –  she is passionate about social and emotional learning for children. She is looking forward to spending the summer with her camp family and to collaborating and working with the staff – it keeps her young!

Sydney Gaviser, General Counselor
This will be Sydney’s first summer as a Robindel counselor – she was previously a camper for 7 summers! Sydney is from Scarsdale, New York and is currently studying at Duke University. She loves to play soccer and run. Sydney is looking forward to spending time with new and old friends, cheering during B&W, and spending another summer in the most beautiful place in the world. She is a counselor to the girls in Birch this summer.

Cameron Grund, General Counselor
Cameron is coming from Mankato, Minnesota for her first Robindel summer. In the fall she will begin studying Nursing at The University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. Cameron is a Red Cross Lifeguard and Certified Nursing Assistant. Just before coming to camp this summer she ran her first marathon, called “The Grandma’s Marathon!” She enjoys running, rock climbing, swimming, yoga and ultimate frisbee. Cameron says that she absolutely loves kids and wants to be a pediatric intensive care unit nurse. She can’t wait to meet all of the kids!

Erin Lee, General Counselor
Erin is back for her second summer, taking care of “baby Ali,” Jennie & Scott’s daughter. She is from Troon, Scotland but spent the last year living in Pennsylvania with The Kleiman Family. After camp this summer she will begin her studies in Childhood Practice & Development. Erin is looking forward to being back with her friends, campers and summer babies. She is a counselor to the girls in Feldman.

Daniella Nel, General Counselor
Daniella is coming from Pretoria, South Africa for her first summer at Robindel. She wants to become a nurse, loves working with animals and children, and is looking forward to swimming with the campers and meeting new people.

Intermediate Camp

Robyn Barnes, Unit Leader for Intermediates (11 & 12 year olds)
Robyn is back for her third summer at Robindel. She is from Perth, Scotland where she recently completed her post-graduate work in primary school teaching. After camp she is excited to begin her first teaching position. Robyn is looking forward to reuniting with friends and campers, the sunsets, and everything about camp life!

Zoe O’Neill, Unit Leader for Intermediates (11 & 12 year olds)
After missing a summer, Zoe is excited to be back at Robindel. She is from Waterford, Ireland and is currently working on her Master’s Degree in Education at The University of Limerick. Zoe loves working with others and has always loved working with kids. She is looking forward to seeing all of the campers and staff from previous summers and can’t wait to meet the new campers and staff!

Senior Camp

Bea Owens, Unit Leader for Feldman & Robinson (13 & 14 year olds)
Bea is thrilled to be back for her 4th summer (not including her 7 summers as a CR camper)! Bea comes from a Robindel family (sister, mom, aunt, cousins!) She is passionate about her work at camp and is looking forward to helping the senior campers become role models for the younger campers.

 Amy Boyd, Unit Leader for Juniper (15 year olds)
This will be Amy’s fifth summer at Robindel and her second as The Juniper Unit Leader. She is from Birmingham, England where she is training as a teacher and special education needs support coach. Amy coaches basketball and was previously the head of landsports here at Robindel! She has 11 nephews, 4 nieces and 1 great niece. She can’t wait to be back at camp with friends and campers.

HEAD CABIN & OFFICE STAFF

 

Brooke Harris, Program Staff
Brooke is back for her second summer at Robindel. She is from Buffalo, New York where she is a teacher. Brooke grew up in New England and has great memories of making friends and having adventures at summer camp in New Hampshire. She loves being outside, reading and working on her pickle-ball game. Brooke is looking forward to meeting new people and enjoying the beauty of the lake. She will be helping in a variety of areas this summer including electives, special events, yearbook and more!

Emma Hope, Program Staff
This will be Emma’s 5th summer at Robindel. She has worn many hats at Robindel including swim, water crafts, colorwar captain – and now, Head Cabin Staff! Emma is from Jedburgh, Scotland. She is a Red Cross Lifeguard and is certified in Water Safety Instruction. Emma loves being outdoors and exploring, and clearly loves the water! Emma will oversee the elective program, staff appreciation and evening activities. She is looking forward to seeing her Robindel family again. Emma will be a Juniper Bunk Aunt!

Cheryl Nenner, Senior Sign-Ups
Cheryl decided to come ‘home’ to Robindel in 2012. She spent seven years as a camper at CR (1979-1985) and a counselor in 1989. Cheryl works with senior campers each summer to schedule and organize their Weekly Senior Sign-Up Schedules. She also keeps track of all of the trips out of camp, making sure that Natman and the Health Hut have all of the information that they need. Cheryl lives in Norwood, NJ with her husband David and their children, Andrew and Nicole.

Shauna O’Hare, Main Office Staff
This is Shauna’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Bellurgan, Ireland and is currently studying Arts at University College Cork. Shauna is looking forward to spending the summer having fun, meeting new people, and making new memories. Shauna is a Willow counselor.

Jessica Urbasik, Main Office Staff
This is Jessica’s 7th summer at Robindel! She is from Wethersfield, CT and during the year Jessica works as a Museum Associate and Educator at The Harriet Beecher Stowe Center. She enjoys working with students and the public from all around the world talking about issues of social justice and its relationship to the past. Jessica is looking forward to welcoming all of the campers back to the office and supporting everyone to have a great summer.

MEDICAL STAFF

 

Maxine Marlowe, Medical Administrator
This will be Maxine’s 28th summer at Camp Robindel. She is from Jenkintown, Pennsylvania where she retired from being the Dean of Students at a local school. She has a B.A. in Sociology and a Master’s Degree in Educational Supervision. Maxine is a loving grandmother to four grandchildren. She loves spending time with her camp friends and watching the campers mature over the years. Before joining the medical team, Maxine was a unit leader for juniors, inters and seniors! Maxine is looking forward to seeing how the campers grow from sweet first time campers to mature young ladies ready to leave our beautiful CR and make their mark on the world.

Brynne Africa, Student Nurse
This is Brynne’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Lebanon, Ohio and is currently studying Chemistry Pre-PA and Biology at Walsh University. Brynne chose to be a science major with a focus in healthcare because she loves to learn new things and figure out how things work and fit together. She loves meeting an helping new people, which is why she chose to focus on healthcare. Brynne is most looking forward to meeting new people and fun adventures.

Courtney Brown, Nurse
This is Courtney’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Savannah, Georgia but she is currently a traveling nurse! Courtney is an EN (Emergency Nurse). She has always loved caring for others and says that becoming a nurse was one of the best life decisions she ever made. She is looking forward to getting to know everybody at camp this summer.

Jennifer Eaton, Nurse
Jennifer is coming all the way from Tilton, New Hampshire for her first summer at Robindel. She is an RN with an interest in the holistic nursing field and plans to become a board certified holistic nurse. She became an RN 6 years ago after spending 9 years as a nurse’s assistant. She is also a member of the American Holistic Nurse’s Association. Jennifer is excited to be a part of the Robindel community and is looking forward to creating friendships with new people, sunsets on the lake, and practicing meditation and yoga.

Sara Fixon-Owoo, Student Nurse
This is Sarah’s first summer at Robindel. She is originally from Accra, Ghana and is currently studying Nursing at UMass Medical School.

Hannah Hakenjos, Student Nurse
This is Hannah’s first summer at Robindel. She is from New Orleans, Louisiana where she graduated from LSU with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Hannah is currently earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from LSU Health New Orleans. She is looking forward to meeting everybody and learning new things from all over the world.

Jenna Lamb, Student Nurse
This is Jenna’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Seymour, Indiana and is currently studying Nursing at Purdue University. Jenna chose to study nursing because of her passion for making a difference, meeting new people and the wide range of opportunities in nursing. She loves to travel and spend time outdoors, which is why she wanted to come to Robindel. Jenna is looking forward to seeing New Hampshire and to helping campers stay happy and healthy.

Sheridan Lynch, Administrative Charge Nurse
This will be Sheridan’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Chicago, IL where she is recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Illinois State University. Sheridan comes from a family of nurses and has always admired the difference they make in people’s lives. She is excited to reunite with campers and staff and to help everyone at Robindel have a healthy summer. She’s also looking forward to GPC ice cream!

ARTS & CRAFTS

 

Nicole Soley, Arts & Crafts Department Head
Nicole is thrilled to be back for her 6th summer at Robindel. During the year Nicole teaches elementary art at a public charter school in Minnesota and makes art at her coop studio in Minneapolis. Her specialties are printmaking and ceramics. Nicole has been recognized throughout the country including her solo exhibition at The University of Nevada, recipient of The Southern Graphics Council International Undergraduate Fellowship, recipient of art and education scholarships from Minnesota State University, The Most Outstanding Presentation Award in Creative Works and Gender and Women’s Studies categories of the Undergraduate Research Conference, and more! Being an art educator is a true combination of all of Nicole’s greatest interests: art, teaching, learning and creating.

Nina Birchard
This will be Nina’s third summer at Robindel. She is from Glasgow, Scotland where she is studying Product Design Engineering. Nina has missed two summers at camp because she was studying and working in Norway, and she is thrilled to be back! She is looking forward to getting to know new people, reconnecting with camp friends and getting creative in the Art Barn. Nina is a Juniper counselor.

Kezia Dixon
This will be Kezia’s second summer at Robindel. She is from London, UK and she is studying sociology at university in Liverpool. She has been doing art since she was a young child, and also enjoys traveling the world. She is a Feldman counselor and the white team captain this summer.

Taylor “Theo” Hunt
This is Theo’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Muncie, Indiana and is currently studying Japanese and Studio Art at Earlham College. She recently had a piece featured in a Semi-Professional Juried Art Show Gallery in Indiana. Her specialties in the department are drawing and painting. Theo plays varsity soccer and lacrosse for her college. Her lacrosse coach and teammate were both previous CR staff members! Theo is looking forward to having new experiences and making memories with the campers this summer. She is a Willow counselor.

Niamh Ni Iceadha
This will be Niamh’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Dublin, Ireland where she is studying Primary School Teaching with a focus in Visual Arts at St. Patricks College. Niamh loves working with children and believes that creativity should be nurtured through arts & crafts. She speaks English, Spanish, French, Irish and is learning Welsh! Niamh’s favorite art disciplines are pencil, watercolor and ceramics. Niamh is a Birch counselor.

Jenny Raymont
Jenny is back for her third summer at Robindel. She is from London, England and is currently studying History of Art at Leeds University. Jenny loves to travel and often visits her family in Hong Kong and France. She was the blue team captain last summer and is looking forward to joining the red team! Jenny is a Feldman counselor this summer.

Nicole Reddin
Nicole is coming from Dublin, Ireland for her first summer at Robindel. She is studying Fine Arts and has a level 8 degree in teaching art. Teaching art is a life long goal of Nicole’s and she is so happy about the opportunity to teach at camp this summer. Nicole is looking forward to meeting everybody and teaching about her Irish culture. She is a Poplar counselor.

Meghan Sweatt
This will be Meghan’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Concord, New Hampshire and is studying Business Administration at The University of New Hampshire. Meghan’s biggest hobby is photography. She is a Bunk Aunt to the girls in Birch.

Maeve Walsh
This is Maeve’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Dublin, Ireland where she studies Mathematics and English Literature at Trinity College. Maeve loves to paint, volunteer at after-school clubs, and travel. She is looking forward to teaching and meeting new people from around the world. Maeve is a Birch counselor.

FITNESS

 

Aishling Hehir, Fitness Department Head
This will be Aishling’s third summer at Robindel. She is from Limerick, Ireland where she is studying Exercise and Health Fitness at The University of Limerick. Aishling is a fully qualified fitness instructor, personal trainer, strength and conditioning coach and Pilates instructor. She also teaches swim lessons and is a lifeguard! Aishling is looking forward to seeing all of the campers…and of course the beautiful CR sunsets too. She is a Feldman counselor.

Maddie Berman
Maddie is joining us for her first summer as a counselor. She was a camper at Robindel for 8 summers. Maddie is from New Jersey and is currently a student at Tulane University. She has two older sisters who also attended Robindel. Maddie is looking forward to being back at her favorite place and spending time with new campers and old friends. She is a Birch counselor.

Cristina Espanol
This is Cristina’s first summer as a staff member after being a Robindel camper for 5 summers. She is from Oviedo, Spain and she is studying Law and Business Analytics at Comillas Pontificial University in Madrid. Cristina speaks Spanish, English and French! She fell in love with Robindel when she came to camp all the way from Spain at the age of 11. She is looking forward to helping campers enjoy Robindel as much as she did when she was a camper. Cristina is a Robinson counselor.

Annmarie Fitzpatrick Brophy
Annmarie is coming from Kilkenny, Ireland for her first summer at Robindel. She is currently studying Nursing at Waterford Institute of Technology. Annmarie enjoys traveling and experiencing different cultures, and she is looking forward to experiencing camp life, meeting new people and having a great summer. She is a counselor in Redwood this summer.

Haley Gerstein
Haley was a 7-year camper and is thrilled to be back for her first summer as a CR Staff member! She is from Short Hills, NJ and is currently studying Fashion Merchandising at The University of Delaware. Haley’s younger sister will be a Juniper camper this summer! She is looking forward to CR sunsets, spending time with old and new friends, and meeting her campers! Haley is a Cypress counselor.

Lily Neisloss
This is Lily’s first summer as a CR counselor. She was a camper for 8 summers too! Lily is from Brookville, New York and is currently studying Business at Tulane University. Both of her older sisters were campers at Robindel – one was a counselor as well and had the best time. Lily is looking forward to sharing the love and spirit of Robindel. She is a counselor to the girls in Feldman.

Rachel Schulberg
This is Rachel’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Edinburgh, Scotland and is currently studying Social Policy and Business at university. Rachel loves being outside and trying new sports. She is looking forward to being outside and enjoying time with campers. Rachel is a Feldman counselor.

GYMNASTICS

 

Rosie Perrett,
Gymnastics Department Head
Rosie is coming from Glasgow, Scotland for her second summer at Robindel. She is studying Sport & Physical Activity at Strathclyde University. Rosie has competed in gymnastics for 9 years and also plays netball for her university team. Rosie is a Poplar counselor this summer.

Cara Condon
This will be Cara’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Dublin, Ireland and she is currently studying Engineering. Cara was a competitive gymnast for 10 years and won many Irish national medals. She has completed her level one coaching course and has been coaching gymnastics for two years. Cara is fluent in Irish and English as well as a passing knowledge of French and German. She has a huge passion in musical theatre and dance too! Cara is looking forward to trying new things, experiencing the American culture, and camp activities like making s’mores – she has never seen a campfire before! Cara is a Cypress counselor.

Aoibheann Mac Giolla Riogh
This will be Aoibheann’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Dublin, Ireland and is currently studying Health and Performance Science at University College Dublin. Aoibheann has her Level 1 Coaching Certificate for Gymnastics and competed for many years as a child. She is fluent in 4 languages and has good knowledge of 3 more! She plays the ukulele, guitar, piano, drums and flute! Aoibheann is looking forward to seeing the campers, getting back in the gym, and Blue & White days. She is a Maple counselor.

LANDSPORTS

 

Jennie Kleiman, Landsports Department Head
Jennie is back for another CR summer! She was a 7-year camper and a 5-year staff member before returning to us in 2016. That makes 2019 her 16th summer at Robindel! Jennie is from Berwyn, Pennsylvania where she is a 9th grade English teacher and a basketball coach. Jennie’s husband Scott was a Winaukee camper and counselor…and Nat was Jennie’s Dad’s counselor at Camp Takajo! Clearly camp is a big part of her family! Jennie is excited to be back outside and on the courts and fields with the Landsports team this summer. Her 1 year old daughter Allison is looking forward to being back at camp too!

Sammie Comito
This is Sammie’s first summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was a camper for 7 summers. Sammie is from New Jersey and is currently studying Hospitality Management at Penn State University. Her specialty in the department is basketball – she was the captain of her high school team! Sammie is most looking forward to B&W, spending time with her campers and friends at the best place on earth, campfires and creating new camp memories. She is a Maple counselor.

Dani Golden
This is Dan’s first summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was previously an 8-year camper. Dani is from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey and is currently a student at The University of Pennsylvania. She has played soccer since she was 8 years old including on her varsity soccer team (as team captain). Dani was named second-team all county and received the coaches player of the year award. She currently plays on the club team at Penn. Dani says that she has been counting down the days until she could return as a counselor since 2015 when she was in Juniper. She is most looking forward to being back at her favorite place with her best friends, dancing at campfire, watching sunsets, Gary’s challah, and most importantly, meeting her Redwood campers!

Casey Gottlieb
Casey is back to experience Robindel as a staff member after spending 6 summers as a camper. She is from Rye, New York and is currently studying Foreign Affairs and Leadership & Public Policy at The University of Virginia. Casey was a 2 time member of the NEPSAC All Star Team for Volleyball, and captain of both her high school volleyball and basketball teams. Casey is a triplet (a sister and brother)! She is looking forward to returning to the place she called home for 6 summers and getting to know all of the new and returning campers and staff. Casey is a Feldman counselor.

Lizzy Kaplan
This is Lizzy’s first summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was a camper for 8 summers! Lizzy is from Port Washington, New York and is currently studying Business at The University of Wisconsin, Madison. When Lizzy was a camper she participated in almost every landsport intercamp that was offered.  She is looking forward to experiencing the magic of camp again, being able to share the Robindel spirit with all of the new and returning staff and campers, and of course, camp fire! Lizzy is a counselor to the girls in Cypress.

OUTDOOR ADVENTURE (Nature & Tripping)

Nat Ellison, Trip Leader
Nat is excited to be back for her 4th Robindel summer. She is from Bellingham, Washington and recently graduated just before coming to camp this summer. After 3 summers on the ROAR staff she is excited to be leading up a new department this summer. Nat is a Feldman counselor.

Maddy Sadler, OA Co-Department Head
This will be Maddy’s fourth summer at Robindel. She is from Birmingham, UK where she is studying Fine Art at University of The Arts, London. Maddy likes hiking, camping, climbing, art and cooking.  She is looking forward to a new department this summer after spending 3 years in the Art Barn. She is a Redwood Bunk Aunt.

Lungile Dotye
Lungile, aka “Stumpy,” is coming from Durban, South Africa for her first summer at Robindel. She speaks various South African languages, loves contemporary dance, hiking, reading and cooking full course meals on the fire! Lungile is looking forward to teaching and learning skills, working with the campers and making a great team with her co-counselors. She is a Bunk Aunt to the girls in Poplar.

Mahriya Saleem
Mahriya is coming from Bradford, England for her first summer at Robindel. She has a degree in Psychology with Counseling. Mahriya says that she can’t sit still, she loves walking, hiking, climbing mountains and increasing her step count! She is looking forward to meeting people from across the globe and experiencing the U.S. culture.

PERFORMING ARTS (Theatre, Dance and Music)

 

Sydni Brawley, Performing Arts Department Head
Sydni is excited to be back for her fifth summer at Robindel. She is originally from Powhatan, Virginia but after graduating from James Madison University with a degree in Theatre Performance she picked up and moved west to San Diego, CA two years ago. She has memorized every song from the musical Hamilton. Sydni grew up in a large family with 4 siblings who are all loud and artistic. She decided to study theatre because she loves to tell stories and she thinks that theatre and the arts are incredibly valuable to the world. Sydni owns a small business called Moon River Print Company – she makes hand-lettered, watercolor art prints. She also lives with the Daniels Family and takes Romy and Orli on daily adventures! Sydni is looking forward to the sunsets, star gazing, GPC ice cream and the amazing shows this summer! Sydni is a Bunk Aunt to the girls in Redwood.

Chloe Broaders
This is Chloe’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Wicklow, Ireland and is currently studying Dance Studies at Inchicore College. Her specialties are ballet and jazz. Chloe has been dancing since she was a child and recently decided to go to college to study Dance Education so that she can open her own studio. She is looking forward to sharing her dance experience with the campers, and is also pretty excited about the sunshine! Chloe is a Juniper counselor.

Natasha Courtenay
This will be Tash’s third summer at Robindel. She is from Poole, England and is currently studying Education (inspired by her summers at Robindel). Tash has her Grade 6 certificate in Classical Ballet, an intermediate certificate in Modern Dance and a diploma in Dance Instruction. She is also the pom dance captain for her university cheerleading team! She says that it reminds her of the Camp Robindel spirit, which is why she loves it so much. Tash has been dancing her whole life and has performed in over 100 shows. She is looking forward to s’mores and to seeing the girls in her bunk and helping them to reach their goals this summer. Tash is a Birch counselor.

Madison Goldberg
Madison is joining us for her first summer as a CR Staff member. She was a camper at Robindel for 4 summers. Madison is from Rye Brooke, New York and is currently studying Theatre at Emerson College. She won her high school “2018 Metro Award” for Student Direction. Madison is looking forward to having fun with the campers and to showing them how fun and freeing theatre can be! She is a Redwood counselor.

Sarah Long
Sarah is back for her fourth summer at Robindel. She is from Lookout Mountain, GA and recently graduated from James Madison University with a Musical Theatre degree. After camp she is moving to NYC to continue training and auditioning. Sarah recently finished a semester training with Broadway Dance Center in NYC! She has always loved performing and teaching, and enjoys seeing the campers find joy and confidence through performance. She is looking forward to reuniting with old campers and friends and spending time with new ones! Sarah is a Maple Bunk Aunt this summer.

Grace Thomson
Grace is back for her 4th summer at Robindel. She is from Kent, UK where she has been working in an investment firm. Grace’s mom worked at Robindel in 1992! She is passionate about theatre and has even performed at Disneyland Paris. Grace is looking forward to reuniting with all of the campers and staff and meeting new people too. She is a Cypress counselor and the blue team captain this summer.

Nicole Wilson
This is Nicole’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Clare, Ireland and is studying Early Childhood Care and Education at Mary Immaculate College. Her specialty in the department is Music, especially the guitar and ukulele. Nicole is a songwriter, loves to work with children, and is looking forward to meeting everyone! She is a Willow counselor

PHOTOGRAPHY & YEARBOOK

 

Chloe Hudson, Photography & Yearbook Department Head
This will be Chloe’s fourth summer at Robindel, but she has known about camp for much longer. Chloe’s mother and older sister have both worked at camp! Chloe is from Wirral, England where she earned a Wirral Metropolitan Art Foundation Diploma and is currently working towards a degree in Photography at Manchester School of Art. Chloe is passionate about photography and loves spending time outdoors, so taking photos at Robindel is the perfect combination. Her specialty is sports photography, and aside from photography her favorite hobby is horse riding…so you can often find her at the stables. Chloe is looking forward to spending time with old friends and making new ones too. She is a Bunk Aunt to the girls in Maple.

Micah Harley
This is Micah’s first summer at Robindel. He is from Gray, Georgia and is currently studying Business Management at Georgia College and State University. Micah started his own photography business while in high school. He loves photographing sporting events and traveling. Micah is looking forward to the opportunity to meet new people. Micah is a Bunk Uncle to the girls in Poplar.

RIDING

 

Eleanor Housden, Riding Department Head
This will be Eleanor’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Marykate, England and is currently studying Equestrian Psychology and Sports Science at Nottingham Trent University. Eleanor currently competes for her university with a riding scholarship. Her mom also worked at a camp in New Hampshire! She is looking forward to coming back to a place that feels like home. Eleanor is a Cypress Bunk Aunt.

Georgia Cummings
Georgia is coming from Cambridgeshire, UK  for her first summer at Robindel. She has a degree in Equine Science from Aberystwyth University in Wales. She graduated from college with an overall grade of Distinction in Level 3 Horse Management and a Level 1 certification in the Principles of Coaching Sport. Horse riding has been her passion since a young age and currently works as a freelance groom in the UK. She came to camp because it combines two of her passions: working with children and horses. Chloe Munnerly
This is Chloe’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Merseyside, UK and currently studies Primary Education at Edge Hill. Chloe has been riding since the age of 4 and has her own horse. She loves working with children and travelling. Chloe is looking forward to making new friends, meeting new people and having the best summer enjoying new experiences. She is a Poplar Bunk Aunt.

Sarah Wiltbank
Sarah is coming from Hampden, Maine for her first summer at Robindel. She is a pet sitter who specializes in animal behavior and training. She has trained all of her dogs through CGC/TDI level obedience and/or advanced agility work. Sarah loves climbing trees and building stuff! She is looking forward to riding horses and sharing her passion for horses with the campers.

Stuart Banks
Stuart is coming from Kelso, Scotland for his first summer at Robindel. He is currently studying Chemistry at The University of Edinburgh. Stuart wanted to come work at a camp in America so that he can help campers have a fun summer and teach about his culture while learning about ours. He is looking forward to meeting lots of new people, learning about American summer camps, and nice weather.Stuart is a Bunk Uncle to Willow.

Cheyenne Godby
Cheyenne is coming from Attica, Indiana for her first summer at Robindel. She is studying Psychology and Kinesiology at Indiana University. Cheyenne is a part of The Leadership Academy in Bloomington where she works with student athletes to develop their leadership skills.  Her goal is to be a sports psychologist and counsel student athletes. Cheyenne is looking forward to meeting and building strong friendships with her campers and to spending the summer in a new place. She is a Robinson counselor.

Eleanor Heggie
This is Eleanor’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Fife, Scotland and is currently studying History and International Relations at The University of Aberdeen. Eleanor can play the flute, loves traveling and spending time with friends. She is looking forward to seeing the beautiful sunsets and making lots of new friends. Eleanor is a Maple counselor.

Sophie Lawton
Sophie is coming from Stirling, Scotland for her first summer at Robindel. She is studying Biomedical Sciences at The University of Edinburgh. She enjoys rock climbing and has taken part in Scottish Schools climbing competitions where she came in 2nd and 3rd place. Sophie also plays lacrosse and piano. She wanted to work at Robindel to find out about camp life in America and to meet new people. She is looking forward to learning more about American culture this summer. Sophie is a Redwood counselor.

Klara Supejova
Klara is back for her 5th summer at Robindel. She was previously on the tennis staff and is excited for a new opportunity on the ROAR staff. She is originally from Prague, Czech Republic and has been traveling the world working seasonal jobs. She is looking forward to new people, challenges and memories. Klara is a Juniper counselor this summer.

Angus Thomson
Angus is excited to be back for his second summer. He is from Kelso, Scotland and is currently studying Biology at Northumbria University. Angus says that he is a farmer at heart! He also enjoys skiing, tennis and rugby. He is a Bunk Uncle for Cypress this summer.

SKI

 

Brock Uhlman, Ski Department Head
Returning for his 10th summer at Robindel, Brock brings a ton of experience with him. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology with a specialty in Fitness from Indiana University; he is a Red Cross Certified Lifeguard and an ACE Certified Personal Trainer. In addition, Brock has his USA Waterski Certification. He spent the last five years in New Zealand working as the Head Wakeboarding Coach at M-I-A Wakeboarding. He is also a licensed sky diver! Brock has been skiing since he was a little boy and along the way learned how to slalom ski, trick ski, barefoot, wakeboard, wake skate, wake surf and kneeboard. He loves sports and being outdoors. Brock is looking forward to getting out on the lake again this summer and helping the campers achieve their goals out on the water.

Abbey Ceh
This will be Abbey’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Melbourne, Australia where she loves to explore nature and meet new people. She recently finished studying childcare. Abbey is looking forward to seeing the campers and counselors and being out on the water every day. She is a Redwood counselor this summer.

Erin Griffiths
Erin is thrilled to be back at Robindel for her 8th summer. She is from Matamata, New Zealand where she loves to wakeboard. Erin is excited to be back at Robindel with all of the campers and staff! She can’t wait to teach the kids again!

Aoife O’Connor
Aofie is coming from Northern Ireland for her fourth summer at Robindel. She is studying Psychology at Ulster University. Aoife is looking forward to seeing and working with her campers again, and to spending another summer out on Lake Winnipesaukee. She is a Feldman counselor.

Gwen Ruescher
This is Gwen’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Colchester, VT and is currently studying Finance and Media Studies at The University of Tulsa. Gwen grew up going to an all girls summer camp for 8 summers! She is looking forward to making tons of new friends and skiing this summer. Gwen is a Poplar counselor.

Luke Rutigliano
This will be Luke’s second summer at Robindel. He is from Haworth, New Jersey and is currently studying Business Economics at SUNY Cortland. Luke is a collegiate swimmer and a lifeguard. He has spent his summers growing up on Lake Winnipesaukee and says that it is his favorite place to be. He enjoys wakeboarding, fishing and hiking. Luke can’t wait to enjoy an awesome and productive summer on the lake. He is a Bunk Uncle for the girls in Redwood this summer.

Teodora “Dora” Toth
Dora is back for her 2nd summer at Robindel. She is from Budapest, Hungary and is studying Technology and Economics at Budapest University of Technology. Dora speaks 3 languages: English, German and Hungarian. She loves sports, trying new things and challenging herself. Dora is looking forward to being on the water every day and seeing how the girls improve their skiing! She is a Willow counselor.

Poppy Davies, Swim Department Head
Poppy is returning for her sixth summer at Robindel. She is from Bournemouth, England and has a degree in Business Management from Bournemouth University. She originally came to Robindel to push herself out of her comfort zone, and she fell in love with the atmosphere and the people. Poppy is a Red Cross Lifeguard and is certified in Water Safety Instruction. She is looking forward to seeing all of the campers and helping them to have the best summer ever! Poppy is a Robinson Bunk Aunt this summer.

Melanie Bort
This is Melanie’s first summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was previously a camper for 5 summers. Melanie is from Manhattan Beach, California and is currently studying Retail and Consumer Behavior at The University of Wisconsin, Madison. When Melanie was a camper she was the youngest camper to do the lake swim! She loves traveling and exploring new places. Melanie can’t wait to be back at the most beautiful place with her best friends. She is most excited for dancing at campfire, sunsets, cheering on Sundays and getting to share the magic of camp with her campers. Melanie is a Maple counselor.

Carmel Connelly
Carmel is coming from Glasgow, Scotland for her third summer at Robindel. She studies Physiology and Sports Science at The University of Glasgow. Carmel loves all sports, which is why she chose to base her studies at university around sport. She spends most of her spare time synchronized swimming and rowing. She is looking forward to spending the summer on the lake with the best campers, staff and sunsets. Carmel is a Red Cross Lifeguard and is certified in Water Safety Instruction. She is a Maple counselor.

Mirain “Mia” Evans
This is Mia’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Wales where she earned her degree in performing. She loves to sing, dance and act. Mia loves to move her body daily, and finds that swimming is a great way to clear her mind and keep strong. She is looking forward to the chance to teach swimming at camp and can’t wait to meet the campers and new friends. Mia is a Robinson counselor.

Jessica Gottlieb
This will be Jessica’s first summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was previously a camper for 6 summers. Jessica is from Rye, New York and is currently studying Neurobiology at The University of Wisconsin, Madison. She plans to go to medical school to become a psychiatrist. Jessica is looking forward to being back at camp and spending time helping campers have the best time at camp, just like she did. Jessica is a Robinson counselor.

Thea Harte
This will be Thea’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Kilkenny, Ireland and is currently studying Physics and Math at University College Dublin. Thea is a Swim Ireland certified swim coach and works as a swim teacher, coach and lifeguard at her local pool on the weekends. She is looking forward to meeting the campers and counselors, spending time on the lake, and having an unforgettable summer. Thea is a Cypress counselor.

Katie Saunders
This is Katie’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Cowes, UK and is studying Health and Social Care at university. She can play the flute and loves sports such as netball and (of course) swimming. Katie is looking forward to spending time on the lake with campers and making loads of great friends. She is a Poplar counselor.

Verity Wheeldon
This is Verity’s first summer at Robindel. She is from London, UK and is planning to study Outdoor Adventure with Coaching Science because she has always had a passion for sport and aims to work with people using sport as a bonding tool. She has volunteered at her local swimming club since she was 12, helping children learn to swim. Her older sister worked at Robindel as a swim counselor too! Verity is looking forward to meeting new people and working as a team. She is a Feldman counselor this summer.

TENNIS

 

 “Buffalo Bob” Gamble, Tennis Department Head
This will be Bob’s 28th summer at Camp Robindel! He is from Buffalo, NY where he recently retired from his career as a Professor of Education and took on a new job as the Director of Instruction at Pickleball Island. Bob is a member of the USPTA and USTA, and he has a PhD in Education. He is a USPTA Certified Tennis Coach of the Year. He has been teaching tennis to people of all ages since long before any of our campers were born! He is a former Division 1 College Tennis Coach too! Three summers ago Bob introduced Pickle Ball at Robindel and our campers and staff love it! Bob is looking forward to continue improving the tennis program, playing pickle ball with Natman and sitting on the counselor dock at sunset.

Nicolas Bacella
Nicolas is joining us for his first summer at Robindel as a Tennis Intern. He is from Argentina and is currently studying Business Management at Saint Leo University where he plays tennis. He came to the U.S. because he had the opportunity to be a student athlete on a strong team. He also enjoys playing soccer and listening to music. Nicolas is looking forward to learning, working and to helping the campers improve their tennis game. He is a Birch Bunk Uncle.

 Adrian Campbell
Adrian will be joining us for his 27th summer at Robindel. During the year he is a Tennis Pro in Florida. Campers love to be on Adrian’s court because he is a fantastic tennis instructor and always pushes campers to try their hardest and have fun. Adrian is looking forward to helping the campers with their tennis skills and having fun with the staff.

 Johann Canthelou
Returning for his 27th  Robindel summer, all of the campers know “JOhann!” During the year he is a mathematics teacher. At the moment he is teaching in Romania but over the last 15 years he has taught in Austria, France (his home country), England, Germany, Spain and of course the USA. We are happy to welcome Johann back to camp this summer. He is looking forward to the beautiful evening sunsets and meeting new people.

Isabella Martin
Isabella is coming from Salisbury, UK for her first summer at Robindel. She is studying Visual Communication at Leeds Art University. Aside from tennis, Isabella also loves photography, painting, being outdoors and dancing. She is looking forward to swimming in the lake, playing tennis and meeting everyone. Bella is a Willow counselor.

Ghali Mensour
This is Ghali’s first summer as a Robindel Tennis Intern. He is originally from Casablanca, Morocco and is currently studying Economics and playing tennis (number 2 spot) at Saint Leo University. His team were conference champions for the 2017-2018 year. Ghali speaks 4 languages, loves to play tennis and can’t wait to teach and learn from the campers and staff. He is a Maple Bunk Uncle.

Irene Romero Redondo
Irene is from Cartago, Costa Rica and is joining us for her first Robindel summer as a Tennis Intern. She plays tennis at college and was ranked #2 for 18 and under players in 2017. She is looking forward to learning, growing, making new friends and having an amazing experience at camp this summer. She is a Maple Counselor.

Elin Ellis, Water Crafts Department Head

Samantha Berg
This will be Sam’s 3rd summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was previously a camper for 7 summers! Sam is from Newton, Massachusetts and recently graduated with a degree in Special Education and Psychology from High Point University. She would like to teach high school special education one day. Her specialty in the department is sailing! Sam is a Red Cross Lifeguard, was Miss Teen MA in 2015, and is a motivational speaker. She can’t wait to reunite with campers and staff and make new friends this summer. Sam is a counselor to the girls in Birch.

Nora Hayes
Nora is coming from Ireland for her second summer at Robindel. She is currently studying Primary Teaching at Dublin City University. Nora is an ISA certified sailing instructor. She speaks English, French and Irish! Nora enjoys performing and entertaining and even has her own You Tube channel! She is looking forward to getting to know all of the campers and to spending the summer on the lake teaching sailing. Nora is a Feldman counselor.

Grace Jeselson
This is Grace’s first summer as a counselor at Robindel. She was a camper for 5 summers too! Grace is from New York City and is currently studying Communications at Syracuse University. Grace said that she decided to come back to work at Robindel because being a camper here were the best summers of her life and she wants to help her campers gain those amazing experiences. She hopes to be a positive role model for all of the campers. She is looking forward to reconnecting with old friends as well as making new ones. Grace is a Cypress counselor.

Amy Reid
Amy is excited to be back for her second summer at Robindel. She is from Edinburgh, Scotland where she is studying Mechanical Engineering at University of Glasgow. She is part of her university’s cheerleading team and was recently voted onto the club committee as publicity convener.  Amy is looking forward to seeing her friends and campers again, and to spending the summer on the lake. She is a Robinson counselor.

Josie Sadler
This will be Josie’s second summer at Robindel. She is from Staffordshire, England Josie is a Feldman counselor.

Taylor Sitomer
This is Taylor’s first summer as a Robindel staff member! She was an 8-year camper from New York City, and is currently studying Child Studies and Language Sciences & Cognitive Studies at Vanderbilt University. Taylor’s favorite activities as a camper were tennis and kayaking. She is looking forward to carrying on Robindel’s traditions and giving campers the experiences they will remember long past their camp days. Taylor is a Willow counselor.

Joel, Jeff and Chuck spend all year at Camp Robindel. They maintain the property and facilities for our use in the summer. If you can think-it, they can build or fix it!

Tomas Betik
Tomas is coming from Slovakia for his first summer at Robindel. He is currently studying Management at Comenius University in Bratislava. He is looking forward to improving his English, seeing new parts of the world, meeting new friends and traveling.

Richard Boncz
Richard is coming from Hungary for his first summer at Robindel. He is currently studying Biochemical Engineering at Budapest University of Technology and Economics. Richard loves nature, speaks Hungarian, English and German, loves to read and hike. He is looking forward to meeting people from around the world.

Peter Busbach
Peter is joining us for his first summer. He is from Tolna, Hungary where is studies Computer Science at University of Pecs. He enjoys running and traveling and is looking forward to meeting new people from around the world.

Laureano Simon
Laureano is joining us for his first summer at Robindel. He is from Puebla, Mexico and is currently studying Pharmacy at university. Laureano is looking forward to practicing his English, making new friends, and working hard this summer.

KITCHEN

 

seanSean Gannon, Kitchen Manager
This will be Sean’s 19th summer at Robindel. He has been working in the hospitality field for over 25 years. Sean works with Ann to create the menu, supervises the kitchen staff to prepare daily meals, and is the go-to person for all of our campers with allergies and special meal requests. He met his wife at Robindel and they have two sons, Sebastian and Jakob. Sean is looking forward to reconnecting with friends from summers past, working with Gary and Retha, and getting a big hug and kiss from Nat, Ann and Carol.

CELEBRATING GARY’S 60TH SUMMER AT ROBINDEL!!
CR’s head chef Gary has been part of the Robindel family since 1960. He is probably the hardest working man you have ever met! You can find Gary in the kitchen late at night or early in the morning preparing dough for his famous fresh rolls. Some of Gary’s other well known foods include sticky buns, chocolate chip cookies, fried chicken and challah bread.

dana Dana Perkins, Kitchen – Second Chef
Dana has been at Robindel for 12 summers. During the year he is a chef at Plymouth State University. Dana loves to fish, boat and ride his motorcycle. He is a US Army Veteran. He has 3 children, 2 step children and 10 grandchildren. We are happy to have Dana back for another CR summer.

Artur Yustus – Third Chef
Artur is joining us for his fourth CR summer. He is from Ukraine and he is a student at University of Presov, Slovakia where he is studying to teach English and Russian language and literature. He speaks five languages: Russian, Ukranian, French, Slovak and English! Artur is looking forward to seeing old friends again, meeting new ones, and Gary’s chicken.

Karen Castro Perez
This will be Karen’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Veracruz, Mexico where she is studying Communications at Universidad Veracruzana with the goal of working in media. She is looking forward to improving her English pronunciation, and meeting new people and places.

Tamas Csobay
Tamas is coming from Hungary for his first summer at Robindel. He is a student at University of Pecs Medical School with the goal of becoming a doctor and helping people. He loves working with children, tennis, reading medical books and news. Tamas is looking forward to meeting new friends this summer.

Daniela Detrikova
This is Daniela’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Slovakia where she studies Marketing and Trade Management at University of Economics in Bratislava. She has been a part of the professional first league volleyball team for 8 years now. Daniela also plays piano and loves horses. She is looking forward to meeting new people, developing life long friendships and traveling the U.S.

Josef Fiala
This is Josef’s first summer at Robindel. He is from The Czech Republic where he is a student at CTU. His hobbies include cycling and ice-hockey, but he loves all sport. Josef is looking forward to meeting new people, new experiences and improving his English.

Matyas Komlosi
Matyas is joining us for his second summer at Robindel. He is from Hungary where he studies Business Information Systems at Corvinus University of Budapest as well as Law at Eotvos Lorand University. Matyas plays the drums and piano all around his country. He also loves sports, especially basketball. Matyas is looking forward to making new friends from around the world and of course to working with Sean, Gary, Dana and Artur again.

Daniela Martinez
Daniela is coming from the Dominican Republic for her first summer at Robindel. She is currently studying nursing at university because she enjoys helping others and learning about biology, anatomy, nature and science. She is looking forward to helping others because she says that “seeing children happy makes me happy.

Dafne Montes Gomez
This is Dafne’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Mexico City where she studies Business at UNAM. Dafne speaks Spanish, English and French! She loves playing tennis and meeting people from around the world and is looking forward to experiencing American summer camp.

Sasha Paramonova
This is Sasha’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Ukraine where she studies Arts at The University of Presov. Sasha speaks 6 languages: Ukranian, Russian, English, Korean, German and Slovak! Sasha loves to sing and used to take part in singing competitions when she was a child at camp. She is looking forward to meeting new friends, experiencing a new culture and practicing her English.

Dalibor Pleban
This is Dalibor’s first summer at Robindel. He is from Czech Republic where he is studying to be a teacher of primary education at The University of Otrava. Dalibor loves working with children and appreciates their curiosity. He wants to meet new people, improve his English, and visit The USA! Dalibor enjoys theater, playing piano, riding his motorbike and spending time with his nieces and nephew. He is looking forward to being a part of an American summer camp.

Adriana Garcia Zaca
This is Adriana’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Mexico where she is a student at Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla. She loves spending time with children, reading and taking photos and is looking forward to meeting new people and improving her English skills.

 


Vivien Kustra

This is Vivien’s first summer at Robindel. She is from Hungary where she is studying Geography at university. She speaks Hungarian, German and English. She loves playing tennis and is looking forward to playing with friends at camp!

Valeria Vazquez Mancilla
Valeria is from Pueblo, Mexico and is joining us for her first summer. She is currently studying Environmental Engineering because she wants to dedicate herself to the research of new technologies and strategies for the conservation and proper use of natural resources. She is looking forward to visiting a new country, working with people from around the world, and making new friends.
