FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS
FOR 2009:
· The complete refurbishing of the interior of our four Malibu ski boats including the replacement of all the vinyl covering.
· The complete refurbishing of our two upper clay tennis courts including the addition of new clay and laser grading.
· The major expansion of Ann’s office in the lodge to make it more comfortable for her to meet with groups of campers.
· New windows in the back of the large counselor room in four intermediate cabins (Elm, Maple, Redwood & Cypress) to provide better airflow by eliminating the present picture windows.
· The replacement of roofs on a number of buildings including some cabins for children.
· The replacement of a number of porch floors in cabins for children.
· Painting the exterior of a number of buildings throughout camp along with the replacement of some siding where necessary.
· The construction of a two-car garage near Ann & Nat’s house to provide much needed storage space and flexibility with regard to housing staff in the living unit above the garage.
· The purchase of a new truck for our maintenance department.
· The purchase of 10 new 5-channel radios to allow better communication with administrators throughout the day.
· Major renovation of the bathroom in Evergreen (a cabin housing female staff who are not cabin counselors).
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS
FOR 2008:
· New colors (U.S. Open Blue framed by a light green) for our seven all-weather tennis courts & two basketball courts and some other hard service areas.
· New windows and some new paneling in Willow, the cabin for the youngest campers.
· New curtains for our stage and a new system of blinds to cover the high windows in the front of the rec hall (to reduce the glare from the sun at certain times of the day).
· Expansion of three separate living units (condos) near the beach including an additional bedroom for each giving us more flexibility to house administrative staff and doctors with young children.
· The purchase of six AccuTrak units, used on a trial basis in 2007, to be installed in our 15-passenger vans. These “smart boxes” make use of the latest satellite technology and will allow us to know the exact location, route and speed of each van at all times when they are on trips.
· New high-powered fans in Feldman and Robinson (for campers who have completed 7th and 8th grades) to provide more airflow.
· The renovation of the Head Cabin, including a deck in front, to better accommodate the yearbook, land sports and blue and white headquarters.
· The major renovation of the bathroom in Juniper (the cabin for the oldest campers) including new lighting, new bright white paneling and an additional high-powered exhaust fan.
· New sails for our fleet of seven Sunfish.
· New fencing on a number of tennis courts and at the entrance to camp.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS
FOR 2007:
· AIR CONDITIONING IN OUR DINING HALL & a new Hood System over the stoves in our kitchen.
· Over 150 yards of new outdoor carpet to cover the entire width of all the swim docks.
· The purchase of four kayaks.
· New windows for the long sides of the rec hall and for Birch (cabin for those going into 5th grade).
· The completion of an outpost area on our property across the road for overnight camping.
· Complete refurbishment of the outdoor stage (near the lodge).
· New floor for the senior retreat to make it suitable for dance and fitness.
· Major renovation and expansion of two bathrooms in buildings housing male staff.
· New wireless system allowing access to the Internet throughout most of our facility.

IMPROVEMENTS AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS FOR
2006:
· The conversion of our three lower har-tru tennis courts into red clay courts.
· Over 450 feet of new chain link fencing for our main soccer field (The Green Field).
· Complete refurbishment of our 10-hole turf putting green & extension of our golf driving range.
· New windows for Knotty Pine and Poplar - cabins for campers who have completed third grade.
· Renovation of Robinson, the double cabin for campers who have completed eighth grade, to create more living space for campers in the front of the cabin.
· Installation of 9 high powered ceiling fans in the dining hall to move the air on hot days.
· Construction of two double bathrooms on the side of the rec hall and near the large soccer field.
· Improvements to our theater included windows on both sides of the stage to create more ventilation.
· New uneven parallel bars and a balance beam for gymnastics.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS
AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS FOR 2005:
· Construction of a new 1200 square foot carpeted facility with new furniture near the entrance to camp to be used as a counselor retreat and for campers on rainy days.
· Major renovation of the vacated maintenance area near the entrance to camp creating two bathrooms & three bedrooms for guests such as ex-campers. Renovation of the upstairs area in the same building, including two new bathrooms and a bedroom, used as a living area for key staff members.
· Two new acrylic backboards with ultra flex rims for our main basketball court.
· Major repaving of the driveway into camp and other connecting areas.
· Construction of a new office in living room area of the lodge for the use of our seven unit heads.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS
AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS FOR 2004
· Installation of 16 new larger
showers in senior camp resulting in every
camper shower in camp having a
single handle pressure balanced scald
guard shower valve.
· Construction of a major addition
to our maintenance building near our golf
complex including a bathroom
and water fountain (used also for the
golf facility) made possible by the drilling
of a new artesian well.
· Construction of Challenge Course
additions including nine low course elements.
FACILITY IMPROVEMENTS
AND EQUIPMENT ADDITIONS FOR 2003:
· Major renovation of 2 cabins
for campers who have completed 6th grade
including the elimination of drop ceilings,
new lighting, the installation of a powerful
exhaust fan and the renovation of the
four bathrooms in each cabin. Now all
cabins in Junior & Inter camp have
recently undergone major renovations.
· Installation of 24 new larger
showers resulting in every camper shower
in junior and intermediate camp having
a single handle pressure balanced scald
guard shower valve.
· Installation of an underground
irrigation (sprinkler) system for our
golf complex and a sprinkler system for
our corrals (riding) to keep the dust
down.
· Purchase of a new table vault
for gymnastics, new fitted sheets for
all camper and staff mattresses and the
installation of 600 feet of new carpet
for our floating swim and ski docks.
· Construction of shelves in all
senior cabins to hold shoes and other
footwear for campers and staff.
· Complete renovation of the land
sports “shack” to help better
organize all the equipment.
